About the artist ...

With decades of experience as an artist and educator, Jenney Griffith explores the edges of perception through experimental photography. This work blurs the line between photography and abstract painting, delving into color, light, form, texture and motion. An accidental photograph from years ago sparked this parallel and very different approach in her practice - an unexpected result that greatly intrigued her and led towards a more intuitive, chance-driven approach.

Jenney's professional background includes commissions for the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Hasbro; the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, and other notable organizations. She maintains a studio in the historic Fort Point artist community in Boston.
